Fall’s Haircolor Trends: Balayage and Beyond

11 Oct Fall’s Haircolor Trends: Balayage and Beyond

Alas we begin to say our final goodbyes to our beloved summer. It was a good one, 2016. We’ll miss you. But, honestly, we won’t miss your humidity. It does nothing for our hair. We welcome fall with its sweaters, pumpkin spice everything, holidays and yes, an update to our locks. What’s trending for fall? Read on for the latest.

Luxe & Low-Maintenance

School is back in session and schedules are packed. No matter what your day entails, it’s a given that the hours in it are precious (and starting to dwindle). It’s important to stay on top of your hair game ahead of the fall/winter rush. Don’t have the time to head to the salon in the midst of holiday cooking, shopping and planning, in addition to your regular obligations (hello, happy hour)?

Balayage has your back. The French technique that’s hit American salons everywhere creates natural looking highlights by adding soft dimensions, leaving no room for unsightly regrowth. The technique is low-maintenance, with some individuals going as many as four months in between color treatments. With balayage, your stylist is literally your artist, applying the technique freehand—no foil or caps needed. Perhaps best of all, the technique works with all hair types and lengths.

Cue the Color Melt

Another trending technique is color melting. Similar to balayage, color melting uses a blend of three colors to create an effect that—you guessed it—appears to ‘melt’ the colors together. As with balayage, color melting allows for natural regrowth and doesn’t come with harsh foil lines—another perfect low maintenance technique to take you through winter.

Trending Tints – Warm Browns and Cool Grey

Our expert stylists are happy to customize color just for you. Warmer tones for fall—ones that will soften skin tones and highlight natural features—are recommended. Shades of caramel, auburn, chestnut, cinnamon, and of course all varieties of brown are classics. But if you’re feeling frisky—there is one trending color that doesn’t fall within the aforementioned realm. It’s gray and it’s popping up everywhere.

Start Fall Strong: Treatments that Revive and Strengthen

Just as you’re prepping your closet for the forthcoming colder months, you should prep your hair, too. A treatment at our salon will do wonders, helping to improve your hair’s texture. Each of our treatments brings life back to hair and can add softness, strength, moisture and nourishment.

Specifically, our Fusio Dose treatment ($35) provides instant deep conditioning and can boost color or reverse damage from breakage; our Nutritive Protocole Immunité ($50) restores hair’s moisture from within; and our Inphenom treatment ($56, a $70 value) leaves hair looking luminous and color more vibrant.

Whether you need treatment, color, a cut, or a combination of the three, we encourage you to book your appointment sooner rather than later. Our salon fills quickly as the holidays approach—our most exciting and busiest time of the year. Book online now or call 832.311.1119 to schedule.
