Tess quickly made a name for herself when she joined Hue Salon in 2015. Her passion and knowledge for hair and teaching quickly had her joining Alan as a partner in 2018, as well as Director of Education, coordinating Hue’s apprentice program. For every client, Tess finds a balance between precision, movement, and texture. She is known for her meticulous and intricate work, lived-in styles, and blondes. She’s not afraid to be honest with her clients and help them find something that will work for their hair. Passionate about music (if you hear Taylor Swift on the playlist in the salon, you can thank her), all things hair, shoes, and a million other tiny things, Tess can laugh with her clients or allow for a quiet, relaxing appointment. Either way, she is working magic.

With over 30 years of experience, Tony is well known for his precision cutting techniques, resulting in edgy and hip styles. A Louisiana native, Justin has made a name for himself in the Houston hair scene. After graduating from cosmetology school in 2007, Justin apprenticed under Alan Conover and the two have worked alongside each other ever since. As a stylist who provides consistently crafted cuts and beautifully playful color, Justin hopes that all his clients leave the salon feeling revitalized and like the best version of themselves. For almost 15 years, Ashley has brought creativity and style to the Houston hair scene. A purveyor of classic and natural looking styles, Ashley loves blonding clients with lived-in highlights or balayage. She has attended dozens of continuing education classes over the years in New York City, San Francisco, and Santa Monica, staying up to date on current styles and techniques. Ashley believes that the consultation is one of the most important parts of the appointment and aims to find the perfect cut and color that will accentuate her client’s natural beauty, keeping their tresses strong and nourished for years to come.

The native Houstonian grew up knowing that she wanted to work in the beauty industry, and though she had her sights set on being a makeup artist, ended up falling in love with hairstyling. After graduating from cosmetology school in 2015, Catherine found her way to Hue Salon and immediately made an impression. As the other half of Hue’s education team, Catherine uses her mathematically savvy mind to teach young stylists how to master any bob, men’s cut, or layered look—a talent that she also uses in the chair. You’ll find Catherine making her clients laugh (or making herself laugh) and creating effortless styles that toe the line between classic and modern. Years of experience and thousands of coffees later, she’s still the girl with a brush in her hand, giving you the blowout of your dreams.

Allegra may be a Houstonian now, but she hasn’t left behind her Los Angeles roots. After leaving the West Coast, Allegra decided to pursue a career in the hair industry. She found her way to Hue Salon not long after in 2016. Hardworking and ambitious, she has cemented herself as a balayage specialist, excelling in creating natural-looking, lived-in blondes. She loves beach waves (as most California girls do) and effortless styles that you can recreate at home. Houston may be further away from the beach than she likes, but Allegra has grown to love the food and live music scene that the Third Coast has to offer. And, of course, Allegra’s passion for her job and clients shines brighter than even the L.A. sun.

It’s not often that people realize at a young age what they want to do with the rest of their lives, but that was exactly what Kelly did. She went through her high school’s cosmetology program thinking that doing hair would merely be a creative outlet, but it quickly became a passion. Kelly came to Hue Salon in 2017 and immediately became a go-to stylist for all things blonding. Most days, you’ll see blonde after blonde client in Kelly’s chair, and she excels at giving them a heavy foil, all while maintaining a natural blonde look. Kelly loves to let her clients enjoy a peaceful appointment while she gets lost in the passion of her work.

Denisse will probably know your hair better than you do. In fact, she can almost guarantee that she will. But don’t worry, it’s a superpower that she only uses for good. After transitioning from the Hue Salon front desk to stylist in 2019, Denisse made it her personal mission to create personalized haircuts for every single guest. Her undeniable talent helps to take a haircut from ordinary to extraordinary, and her passion helps to make each person in her chair feel special. While her style can sometimes lean more toward the edgy side—you’ll never know what fun color she has in her own hair—Denisse has mastered everything from short to long, balayage to color corrections. Outside of the salon, Denisse is always picking up a new hobby, whether it be painting, calligraphy, or learning how to bake a new recipe. With the passion with which she speaks, you might just find yourself inspired as well.

Brittnie is known for many things: a new hairstyle each day, a smile that transforms her face, blowouts that leave you asking yourself, “how did you do that?”, but most of all, her love of blonding. Whether it is creating dimensional brunettes or a platinum card, Brittnie’s talent lies in giving her clients exactly what they’re wanting.

Ever since Stephanie learned how to do her first hair style from YouTube (don’t worry, she’s improved since then) she’s had a passion for all things hair. Stephanie joined Hue Salon after graduating from cosmetology school and sped through the apprentice program. It was during the program that Stephanie fell in love with haircutting. While she gravitates toward classic looking styles like balayage and highlights or long-layered cuts, she also thrives on a good challenge, whether that’s learning a new technique or outside of the salon working out. Stephanie takes the time to get to know her clients, ensuring that they leave feeling confident and satisfied with their new look.

Having completed Hue’s rigorous salon apprenticeship program, it quickly became clear that Cassidy would be a stylist that not only loves to make her guests feel their best but is constantly working on improving her craft. She has a true passion for styling, loves creating beautiful and modern blondes, and has a book recommendation for every mood. She loves traveling, writing, and a crisp glass of Rosé on a beautiful afternoon (sometimes all at the same time). Cassidy has proven herself to be a true artist that dives deep into her beautiful work, even going above and beyond to teach her guests how to style their own hair. So, whether you want an intricate updo for a special event, or a dimensional color with effortless waves, Cassidy is sure to give you more and more good hair days.
